Nespresso has added new blend to its Pure Origin Grand Cru range of coffees. Espresso Origin Brazil consists entirely of coffee beans harvested from plantations in the South American country.

Product details:

Espresso Origin Brazil is described as a delicate blend of Brazilian Arabicas crafted to suit mild espresso lovers. It can be drunk on its own, as a mild, aromatic espresso, or with milk as a full-bodied cappuccino or latte macchiato.

The new blend sits alongside the recently launched Ristretto Origin India as part of Pure Origin blend range.

USP:

According to Nespresso, the blend is made up of two varieties of Arabica bean. The Cerrado Arabica bean is said to offer a “rich complexity” of flavours, and is lightly and quickly roasted to give it a rounded flavour on the palate. Bourbon Arabica beans, meanwhile, are sundried and slowly roasted to give the espresso a mellow, sweet and mild aromatic flavour.

Brazilian Arabicas receive a four on Nespresso’s intensity scale, which ranges from one to 12.

Why you should buy it:

Ian McDonald, business solutions commercial manager at Nespresso UK, said: “As the UK continues to grow as a nation of coffee connoisseurs, there is increasing demand for high-quality coffee together with a wider choice of tastes and flavours – not only in the home but in hotels, restaurants and cafés.”

“This new Espresso Origin Brazil offers an additional option for discerning tastes and its versatility means that it can be enjoyed as an espresso or prepared with milk to create an indulgent cappuccino or latte macchiato, complementing chocolate-based desserts and treats particularly well.”
