Tea brand Twinings has released two new products for hospitality operators - a stronger Earl Grey blend, and a special commemorative Royal Wedding blend.

The new Earl Grey, developed using high quality tea leaves, has been blended with an additional hint of bergamot for an enhanced citrus taste.

The new limited edition Royal Wedding blend combines the flavour of bergamot with white tea and rose petals for a light, sweet and citrus taste.

Twinings hopes that with its two latest releases it can help caterers make the most of celebrations surrounding the Royal Wedding this month.

Jacqueline Comeau, senior customer marketing manager for Twinings, said: “We‘ve been supplying the royal family with their tea since 1837 and are delighted to be marking this major national event with a special tea blend that is quintessentially British. Earl Grey is the blend most associated with drinking tea in the afternoon which is why we chose to take this popular tea and apply a contemporary twist.”
