Officially launched at London’s Dorchester hotel, the two new linen ranges - Provent and Microshield - claim to protect against dust mites, one of the main causes of asthma and eczema.

Provent is allergy-relief bedding which is specially designed to stop dust mites from penetrating the surface. It can be zipped over mattresses, pillows and duvets.

Micoshield is anti-allergy, bacterial and fungal bedding that offers complete protection against dust mites, bacteria and fungus which can cause skin irritation.

"Through the use of a combination of these new lines, hotels are able to create allergy-friendly rooms, helping the thousands of people that suffer from conditions like asthma, eczema and rhinitis to enjoy a healthy and comfortable night’s sleep. Even those who are allergy-free will benefit," said a spokesperson for Lissadell Liddell.

Both products are washable at 40 degrees and can be used with existing linen and enable hoteliers to offer guests allergy-free beds.

"Lissadell Liddell’s Provent and Microsheild ranges are the perfect solution for five star hotels wishing to charge a premium rate for a room that has such exceptional benefits," said the supplier.
