The Factory bar stool is one of the pieces in Andy Thornton's new Urban Vintage collection

The Urban Vintage collection includes lighting, tables, chairs, sofas, stools, shelving and storage in a mix of materials - from aged leather to distressed denim and reclaimed pine to heavy duty cast iron. All items in the range are designed with heavy-use in mind.

One item key for pubs and bars is the Factory leather bar stool with a hard-wearing tubular steel frame that the manufacturer claims is both lightweight and sturdy.

The frames are finished in a tarnished iron patina and have plastic bungs fitted to the bottom of the legs to protect timber and tiled floors. The upholstered seat and backs are available in a choice of either distressed leather, as shown, or hard-wearing washed denim. They are fixed to the frame with leather loops and rivet-style fixings.

Also included in the range are tables made of reclaimed timber and pendant light fittings. For more bespoke pieces, Andy Thornton will look at designing and manufacturing to order with minimum quantities applying.

The full Urban Vintage range is being constantly updated with details on the website www.andythornton.com

I am very intrigued to see how they can create vintage lighting. I got some furniture for my bar from http://www.modernofficefurniture.co.uk/modern-cafe-bistro-furniture/ and it is pretty good to be fair. But not a patch on this.
