The cake consists of an almond tarta base covered with layers of chocolate cream and milk chocolate mousse, with a topping of Toblerone chunks and chocolate coating.

Pre-cut into 12 portions, the cake is delivered frozen in packs of 6x1000g.

It joins the existing Almondy range at distributor Central Foods, which includes Almondy DAIM, Almondy Meringue and Almondy Caramel & Peanut.

Andrew Ely, managing director of Almondy UK, said: “We are confident that Almondy Toblerone will be a huge hit with diners who love the idea of a chocolate bar on a cake and want to round off their meal with a touch of indulgence.”
