Hotelcover, designed for 3, 4 and 5-star venues, provides hoteliers with a risk management solution via a free on-site health and safety audit to mitigate against the risks from possible future incidents. The audit is also designed to assist in making sure the best insurance price is reached.

David Charles, managing director of Cooke & Mason said the dedicated policy had been developed in consultation with the industry.

"Working closely with clients in this sector we fully understand the risks faced by hotels and the importance of a robust, reliable insurance solution.  We've identified a unique set of insurance requirements and in response we’ve launched Hotelcover; a specialist package which delivers dependable protection at a realistic price," he said.

Cooke and Mason, founded in 1976, is one of the leading UK commercial insurance brokers and offers various industry-specific insurance and risk management solutions as well as operating a health and safety division.

The Nottinghamshire-based firm also has a dedicated hotel and leisure sector team whose experience and expertise was used to develop Hotelcover.

As part of the individually-tailored package, Hotelcover also includes Bed Bug cover which provides protection against the impact of an infestation.

In the event of hoteliers needing to make a claim, Cooke & Mason also offers advice, support, a claims management service and a nominated loss adjuster to make the process less complicated.
