Rippll – a smartphone marketing specialist – is offering a DIY app-building kit for hospitality operators looking to add value to their brand without the cost of hiring a specialist company.

Operators can now build their own smartphone applications using Appsplash

Appsplash allows non-experts to create bespoke apps without the need for complex ‘coding’, though you’ll probably want to assign someone who’s pretty tech savvy to the task.

Starting at £299, the package includes the ability to create vouchers and digital loyalty cards and provides access to GeoWave, Rippll’s location-based advertising software.

Restaurant brands currently using the browser-based product include McDonald’s, TGI Friday’s and Mori sushi.
