Music design consultancy Open Ear has launched a new cloud-based music platform providing bespoke playlists for bars.

Product details:

Designed by Open Ear founder and international DJ Brian d’Souza, the MusicManager platform gives busy bars the option to choose music from a continuously updated extensive library of specially sourced tracks. Bespoke playlists can be chosen to reflect a venue’s brand, atmosphere and customer base. Playlists can also be set up to run for different durations and calendar times, allowing music to be organised in advance. Thanks to cloud-based technology, the platform can be controlled anywhere in the world. MusicManager is also supported by a free location-based consumer app, which means users can search venues that are playing their taste in music. Once in the venue, users can check-in, rate and share the music via social media.

USP:

Licensees need not worry about staff playing personal music that doesn’t represent their brand. Staff can also match the music to current footfall.

Price:

The playlist is available in three packages starting from £20 a month.

Why you should buy it:

“Traditionally, there is little or no control with piped-in music and it rarely ever responds to actual footfall…our new platform allows venues to respond to this demand by changing their music to match the current atmosphere. This means that venues that are filling up can, at a touch of a button either on the computer or EPOS system, have music that is both the perfect tempo and on-brand, leaving staff to focus on maximising a customer’s experience through good service, instead of trying to select which songs to play.”
