The EMenu Ordering System is a Panasonic Toughbook product which restaurants, pubs and even hotels can add to tables or rooms and are long-lasting and designed to withstand heavy use while using the latest in Panasonic technology.
The system allows diners to order from a food and drinks menu displayed on screen which is then relayed to the main till with a small delay. Prompts can also be built in to encourage guests to order additional items, allow them to specify how they would like the food and drink presented or to add special requirements.
Details of a credit or debit card can also be taken with the initial order allowing the guest to spend up to a specified amount and no more.
The system, which is new to the UK, is now available to operators through Pub & Retail Consultants. The Bedfordshire-based company said the system provided more than simply table top ordering.
"It not only enables guests to order their food and drinks direct from the comfort of their table, it provides a games console to amuse the children, whilst waiting for their food, it can be enabled to have limited internet access and be enabled to display information promoting future events or the venue or company. It also provides the venue the opportunity for immediate customer feedback, which if so required can interface with internet sites like Top Table and Trip Advisor," Pub & Retail Consultants said.
The internet access can be enabled allowing guest to access various applications of the venues choosing from the Android platform to give diners live travel information, news or display games to play.
Panasonic EMenu can, it is suggested, improve ordering but also increase spend, eliminate missed billing, provide stock control and sales information and enhance the customer visit to the operator’s venue.
