The nine-bedroom Ellangowan Hotel in Scotland's Dumfries & Galloway is being marketed by Colliers International at a guide price of £200,000 on behalf of the former owner who had operated the property for almost 25 years.

“Of course, the Ellangowan attracts a significant of film fans who visit the area to take in the locations seen in the Wicker Man," said Alistair Letham, a director with selling agents Colliers International. "Sadly, Britt Eckland is no longer working behind the bar, but the visitors to the bar partake in a lot less sacrifice than seen in the film, making it a popular local venue.”

"With the Ellangowan Hotel being offered for sale at a significantly reduced price a good response from buyers in expected particular those seeking an established business in a beautiful part of South West Scotland."

The village hotel also has a bar and catering facilities.
