Chefs Tom Kerridge and Adam Byatt are to appear at Stockbridge pub The Greyhound on the Test, which was named Michelin Pub of the Year in 2014, for a series of one-off fundraising supper clubs.

The evenings – with Byatt on 13 October, and the two Michelin-starred Kerridge on 8 December ‒ will help to raise money for the Alex Lewis Trust, the charity set up by owner Lucy Townsend’s partner Alex Lewis.

Lewis, who suffered from a life-changing illness three years’ ago, which left him requiring prostheses for all four limbs, will use the proceeds to help fund wheelchairs, prostheses, and their maintenance.

Both chefs will work with the Greyhound kitchen head chef Chris Heather and his brigade.

Byatt will cook first, offering a five-course set menu plus canapés and petit-fours. Byatt, who is chef patron of Trinity, Upstairs at Trinity, and Bistro Union in south London’s Clapham, began his career at Claridge’s hotel aged 16, and also regularly appears on cooking shows such as BBC Saturday Kitchen.

Kerridge’s pub The Hand and Flowers in Marlow was the first pub to receive two Michelin stars in 2011, with the team then going on to open The Coach, also in Marlow, in 2014. Kerridge is due to release his fourth cookbook, named The Dopamine Diet and chronicling his ten-stone weight loss, this January.

Townsend said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming [Kerridge and Byatt] into our kitchen for what we are sure will be two very special evenings, and we really appreciate all the support they’ve given to my partner Alex.”

Located on the River Test, the historic 15th century pub was named Michelin Pub of the Year in 2014. It offers ten en-suite bedrooms as well as its restaurant and bar, and Townsend also runs Wilds, a boutique events company specialising in outdoor catering for weddings and private parties.
