Flagship Brasserie Blanc to be refurbished

The restaurant will be closed from the end of January and is set to re-open in early March.

The refurbishment process forms part of a wider re-branding strategy across the group, with the chain’s Trinity Street and Threadneedle Street restaurant having undergone the same treatment.

A new 35-cover cocktail bar will be installed at the site, and the 136-cover main dining room will include a communal kitchen table to encourage a casual dining experience and atmosphere.

The current private dining space will see an increase in space, enabling it to cater for 70-covers seated or 100 guests standing. There will be an opportunity to split this space into two private dining areas, one with 22-cover and the other with the capability to serve 40. The 16-cover outdoor terrace will also receive renovation.

The restaurant will work with design agency Blacksheep to create a ‘stripped-back’ interior that makes use of a range of natural materials and a muted colour palette of heritage tones.

Chief executive Mark Derry said: “Being in such a prominent, high footfall location, Brasserie Blanc Southbank is our flagship London restaurant and its huge capacity means we can cater for a vast range of group sizes.  The refurbishment will transform it into a more inviting and versatile space for local office workers and tourists to enjoy.”
