Gregg Wallace tells BigHospitality about Gregg's Table, masterchef's impact and his culinary inspirations

February sees the opening of Gregg’s Table in London’s Bermondsey Square Hotel - the first restaurant for Masterchef’s Gregg Wallace.  BigHospitality caught up with him ahead of the opening to talk about his debut as a restaurateur.

Sat in his new, 1970s-themed restaurant, Wallace admitted he expects to be judged quite harshly by the critics upon the opening of Gregg’s Table, but he went on to state: “I don’t care about being judged. I think I’m setting myself up here to be attacked by critics, but I really don’t mind.”

He also gives his views on the impact of Masterchef on the restaurant industry, while revealing his culinary inspirations and concluding with what the future holds for the former greengrocer.
