Anna Hansen to host pop-up Modern Pantry at Meza

The Modern Pantry chef proprietor Anna Hansen is to host a pop-up version of her Clerkenwell restaurant at Meza in Soho later this month.

The interior of Meza will be refurbished to mimic the design of The Modern Pantry for just one month from 22 March to 16 April, incorporating furniture donated by Danish design house Fritz Hansen, and artwork from guest artists Kate Boxer and Robert Clarke.

An a la carte menu featuring a number of dishes borrowed from the Clerkenwell venue’s menu will be available, while set lunch, dinner, pre-theatre and tasting menus will also be offered.

Hansen said: “I am extremely excited about bringing The Modern Pantry to Soho. Like Clerkenwell, I love its strong sense of community and diverse entrepreneurial spirit and look forward to being a part of it for a while.”

Having grown up in New Zealand, Hansen will be adding £1 to every bill at The Modern Pantry at Meza to help raise money for those affected by last month’s earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand.
