Award winning B&B goes on sale

The owners of Moorlands Country House guest house in Yorkshire sell up for life overseas

Gill and Ron Leonard, the owners of the award-winning Moorlands Country House in Yorkshire have decided to sell the business so they can spend more time abroad. 

The guest house in Levisham was voted Best Accommodation in Yorkshire for three years running and was listed in the Sunday Times` Top 10 B&Bs in England in 2005. 

 

A former vicarage, the three-storey property currently has eight bedrooms and a 21-cover dining room as well as a one-bedroom property in the grounds. The owners have also secured planning permission to convert a garage into two one-bedroom holiday cottages. 

 

It is being sold through Christie & Co for £1.2m. 

 

Christine Cody-Owen, the agent in charge of the sale said: “The current owners have substantially improved the guest house, and with their interior design flair, have produced an individually refurbished property. Gill and Ron have decided to spend more time overseas, hence the reason for the sale, but this gives new owners a wonderful opportunity to acquire a business with the potential to build further letting accommodation within the grounds.”
