Restaurant group Bistro Qui? is on the site acquisition trail with Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and Leeds on its target list.

The news comes as the group reveals it is to open two new restaurant and bar concepts in its home city of Liverpool to add to its six existing sites.

The Refinery, a tapas bar, is to open at the beginning of March on the corner of Hope Street and Myrtle Street within a new student accommodation development.

Chicha, a Peruvian street kitchen, is taking a unit on Liverpool’s Bold Street and will open in April.

The company already has five restaurants in Liverpool including three French-themed bistros – Pierre, Jacques, Franc, as well as The Hub Alehouse & Kitchen on Hanover St and Button Street Smokehouse in the city’s Cavern Quarter.

Another French restaurant Bistro Jacques is situated in Shrewsbury.

Company directors Mark Friend and Stephen Slater opened their first venture Bistro Pierre over 12 years ago.

Friend said: “We have spent years creating a restaurant brand that is focused on great value dining and fresh food. We are proud of our portfolio of restaurants and want to continue to innovate and bring our eateries to the public.”
