Cote snaps up first Kent restaurant

French brasserie chain Cote has secured a new site in Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, its first in the South East county.

Cote recently launched its first restaurant in Wales at Cardiff's Mermaid Quay

The former Café du Village in Bluewater’s The Village area was acquired from CG Restaurants for an undisclosed sum, while landlord BlueCo Ltd granted a new lease for the site.

Cote now intends to open a 140-cover restaurant, with a further 100 seats available outside.

The restaurant chain currently operates 20 sitesacross the UK, the most recent opening being its first in Wales at Cardiff's Mermaid Quay, which launched in November 2010.

Law firm Davenport Lyons and property agent Davis Coffer Lyons advised Cote on the deal.
