Former Quo Vadis head chef Jean-Philippe Patruno has joined D&D London's St James restaurant Quaglino's as executive head chef, replacing Darron Bunn.

The French-born chef who left Quo Vadis last December after almost four years there as head chef, said he was looking forward to the new role at the iconic London restaurant which first opened its doors in 1929.

He said: “I am hugely excited about working at Quaglino’s and look forward to putting my own stamp on the menu, in keeping with the restaurant’s reputation for elegance and fun.”

Patruno spent several years working alongside Nico Ladenis at Chez Nico on Park Lane before going on to head up Nico Central and Simply Nico.

He helped Quo Vadis owners Sam and Eddie Hart launch Fino before going on to work at Quo Vadis, which relaunched at the beginning of the year with Jeremy Lee heading up the kitchen and joining as a partner.
