Mitchells & butlers (M&B) has today announced a three-year deal with O2 to deliver complimentary Wi-Fi into its 1,600 restaurants and pubs across the UK.

The deal will see hotspots rolled out to all of M&B’s brands which include the likes of Harvester, Toby Carvery and All Bar One. The service is expected to be complete by October this year.

Robin Young, operations director at M&B, said: “Every day in each of our businesses, my teams provide great guest experiences and the availability of free Wi-Fi will give us a further opportunity to enhance this.

“Food and drink experiences can now be linked to integrated and personalised offers, true guest-recognition and reward.”

Gavin Franks, managing director of O2 Wi-Fi, added: “Pub and restaurant-goers will soon be able to receive promotional offers, check the football scores, reply to their emails and update social media sites over a Sunday roast and a pint.”
