Pret A Manger is weighing up an Initial Public Offering in a bid to fund an extensive expansion plan said one of the firm's advisors.

The company, is part-owned by founders Julian Metcalf and Sinclair Beecham along with McDonalds, and is thought to be worth £150-280m.

Banks haven't yet become involved in what is still very much a consideration, according to Graham Shear, a lawyer with Teacher Stern Selby, Pret's company advisors.
