Chuck Burgers, the American-inspired group best known for its street food van at east London's Hawker House, is to launch its third location and second permanent site.

Set to open at east London’s 4 Commercial Street in late June, the 45-seat venue will be a renovated classic east end London café, and will be the third location for the brand after its permanent Hatch End Uxbridge site, and Chevy Step Van outlet at Hawker House (Canada Water).

Founded by Basit Nasim in 2012 – the name behind the Hotbox bar and grill also located on Commercial Road ‒ the group is inspired by Nasim’s travels across America.

It offers the classic cheeseburger options, as well as a signature “Devil Burger”, with a 28-day aged steak patty with charred jalapenos, American cheese, sriracha mayonnaise, grilled red onions, and a green jalapeno sauce.

There will also be a range of new menu items created especially for Spitalfields, such as the Hot-Ox (a patty topped with slow-cooked, spicy oxtail chilli, and chipotle mayonnaise); the Seoul Burger (buttermilk fried chicken with Korean hot sauce and kimchi slaw); and the Dolly Burger (spiced lamb with cheese and pickles).

Buffalo chicken wings will also feature, as will sides such as “Mac n Cheese Balls”, “Loaded Fries” with nacho sauce and pancetta bacon, and desserts such as Key Lime Pie and the “Lazy Sundae”.

Décor will focus on reclaimed and recycled materials, plus artwork created by staff in-house.
