Donation envelopes, designed by a London restaurant employee for restaurants to collect money for Action Against Hunger's Haiti earthquake appeal, are ready to be sent out.

Fanny Stocker, a financial controller at Sam's Brasserie and Harrison's, has 200,000 donation envelopes, which she hopes restaurants will take to give to customers with their bills.

It is hoped the envelopes, printed for free by Heritage Envelopes and distributed by City Link, will go out to 1,000 restaurants.

Stocker said: "I know restaurants are always called upon to help, but I'm hoping this is a very simple way of raising a considerable amount of money. I realise that you are very busy but would very much appreciate your help in this campaign."

Kitchen W8, The Walnut Tree, Sonny's, The Exhibition Rooms, Joe Allen's and The French Table have already signed up. To get your restaurant involved email fannystocker@talktalk.net with your restaurant name and address.
