Gordon Ramsay has been named as the host of the first Christmas Taste Festival, to take place in London in December.

Gordon Ramsay Presents a Taste of Christmas will be held at London’s ExCeL centre in East London from 4th-7th December. The event, in partnership with Taste Festivals and Channel 4 will feature ten top London restaurants serving a selection of their signature dishes, including a number of Ramsay’s own establishments such as Maze, The Narrow and The Boxwood Cafe.

“I am very excited to be launching the first ever Taste of Christmas event,” said Ramsay.  “It will be a unique celebration of Christmas food and wine, and an unmissable opportunity for visitors to taste the very best from the UK's finest chefs, restaurants and merchants in one place’.

Ramsay will demonstrate Christmas recipes in the event’s Christmas Theatre alongside guest chefs including Angela Hartnett. In addition, Ramsay’s recent acquisition the Tante Marie cookery school will hold classes and demonstrations throughout the show in a specially created kitchen.

The Boxwood Café is among the participating restaurants confirmed for the Channel 4 sponsored Taste of London festival in Regent’s Park between 19 and 22 June, and the channel will screen the fourth series of Ramsay’s The F Word beginning 13 May.
