Sudi's foodie quiz success

Westminster-based Indian restaurant the Cinnamon Club held its first Foodie Quiz last night.

A take on the traditional pub quiz but with gourmet food and wine replacing pints and packets of crisps, the event hosted by food writer Sudi Piggott, is designed to give diners a more interactive experience and restaurants a boost in trade.

Participants were given cocktails, canapés and a three-course meal created especially for the event by the Cinnamon Club’s Executive Chef Vivek Singh.

Question rounds included guess the spice, famous food-related quotes and London restaurants.

Organisers Pepper Marketing & Communications hailed the event a success: “Sudi’s held about six of these quizzes at different restaurants before and everyone enjoyed last night’s. We’ll definitely consider doing more of them in the future, maybe one at the end of the year at another restaurant."
