Restaurant magazine unveils R100

The Times and Forbes have their Rich List and now Restaurant magazine presents the R100 – the inaugural list of the UK’s top 100 restaurants

Based on turnover, the list ranges from the very large to the relatively small, but each of the companies included has stamped its mark on the restaurant trade.

Unveiling the R100 at Kent House in Knightsbridge, Restaurant editor Paul Wootton said: “Over the past five to 10 years there has been a revolution in the eating out market and the UK is now recognised as the best place to eat on the planet.

“This list is a collection of businesses that highlights how far we have come.”

The list features profiles of each of the companies with information on their brands, reasons for their success and future plans.

Companies listed on the Stock Exchange’s Main Market have been excluded but AIM-listed companies have been included.
