Operator sought to run new hotel

The owners of East Midlands Airport are searching for operators to run a new hotel at a nearby business park.

Planning permission has been granted for the 200-bedroom hotel with leisure and conferencing facilities at the site on the Pegasus Business Park in Castle Donington, Derbyshire.

Construction of the hotel, which will also have a lounge bar and restaurant, is due to start early next year with the property set to open in early 2011.

Jonathan Parrish Director and Head of Investments at Christie & Co, the company in charge of finding an operator,  said: “This is a very well sited hotel development, which will draw from a national, regional and local customer pool, with the added advantage of having a busy airport on the doorstep.”
