Italy’s ‘finest pasta’ arrives in UK
Described as ‘perhaps the finest pasta in Italy’ by Heston Blumenthal's book In Search of Perfection, La Pasta di Aldo from Villanova Food has announced it will launch in Britain in September.
Soon to be available in packs of 250g and in shapes from tagliatelle and parpadelle to chitarrine and farrine, the dried pasta from Monte San Giusto in Le Marche uses a different semolina mixture for each different style. It is then hand-kneaded and hung to dry in low temperatures for a slow and natural drying process.
Distributors Marche UK, claim the pasta is unique due to the ‘strict selection of raw materials and manufacturing systems’, offering consumers a true taste of Italy.
Villanova is currently experimenting with different shapes, which they hope will launch soon. La Pasta di Aldo will launch at the Fine Food Fair at the Grand Hall Olympia in September.
