An event is being held to raise funds in the name of wine merchant, writer and restaurateur Nick Tarayan who was struck down by a serious illness two years ago.
The Nick Tarayan Bursary Fundraising Event will take place on September 17 at The Middle Temple Hall to raise funds for the Fairlie House Hospice which is caring for Nick and also to raise money for a Wine Education Bursary to encourage the next generation to follow Nick in becoming wine professionals.
The evening is being supported by the Champagne Academy and will consist of Champagne, canapés, an auction, raffle and music from Nick’s nephew’s school’s swing band.
Tickets are £45 and restaurateurs are asked to donate meals, bottles of wine and gifts to the auction.
Please send any donations, raffle and auction items to Siroun Tarayan, 2 Hardman Road, Kingston-upon- Thames, Surrey KT2 6RH.
