Chez Bruce in Wandsworth was rated London’s top destination for food and named Londoner’s Favourite Restaurant for the third consecutive year in a survey for the Harden’s London Restaurants 2008 guide. Restaurant Gordon Ramsay came first for top gastronomic experience but failed to win the highest overall rating and the highest food rating that he won last year. The overall rating went to Marcus Wareing’s Petrus and the highest food rating went to Chez Bruce.
Guide Co-editor Peter Harden said, “Gordon Ramsay’s huge international reputation has been built on the strong foundation of Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which, until this year, has simply not been challenged as London’s best restaurant by far. This foundation is suddenly looking very shaky.”
