The Citrus Café in Headingley, Leeds, has been sold in an off-market deal to a Brighton-based multioperator.
The café was set up close to the university in 2001 by Jed McCormack and Phil Timms and has been sold to allow McCormack to roll out his Lime Tree branded restaurants.
Offers in excess of £620,000 were sought for the leasehold interest. Nine years are left on the current lease and a follow-on lease has been agreed for another 16 years. Christie + Co acted for Citrus Café.
