The Gordon Ramsay Scholar Award 2007 is now open to entries from cooks aged between 18 and 25, working or studying in Great Britain or Ireland.
Ramsay said, "As ever, I am excited as we start the search for our scholar and look forward to the huge array of talent that inevitably presents itself and demonstrates to me that the future of the industry is in safe hands."
The final event will be held over five days of cooking heats at the NEC in Birmingham from November 28 as part of The BBC Good Food Show.
The winner will receive £5,000, a VW car and a week's placement at Ramsay's signature restaurants in London, Paris and New York. Last year's winner was Aled Williams from Midsummer House in Oxford.
The deadline for entries is September 30. For further information and to apply go to www.gordonramsay.com
