David Page, Founder of the Clapham House Group, won the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the 2007 Quoted Company Awards. Page founded the company in 2005 and has since bought and expanded the Real Greek, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Tootsies and the Bombay Bicycle Club brands.

The estate now stands at 66, with the group upping profits by 339 per cent, growing sales by 140 per cent to £20.6m and setting a target to open 20 to 25 new restaurants in the next year, funded entirely by cash flow.

The judges said they were also very impressed with Clapham House's share price growth of more than 70 per cent since January 2006.
