The Wayfarers fine dining restaurant with rooms in Sherborne Causeway, north Dorset, has been sold for an undisclosed figure from an asking price of £475,000 for the freehold interest.

The previous owners are moving to France after running the restaurant for 13 years. The new owners, David and Sue Lamb, are moving from Hampshire and installing their son as Head Chef. The property dates back to the 1770s and retains period features including beamed ceilings and natural stone walls. Christie & Co acted for the vendor.
