Pieri's restaurant in Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire, has been sold for an undisclosed figure on a new 25-year lease, with offers in excess of £100,000 being sought for the leasehold interest. Former owner Emilio Pieri has retired after 28 years with the new owner Matthew Scobey previously working as a chef in Dubai.

The 46-cover restaurant traded evenings only, Tuesday to Sunday, giving the new owner scope to increase business by opening lunchtimes. Christie & Co handled the sale.
