Craft Guild of Chefs votes Vadis into chairmanship
The Craft Guild of Chefs has voted Nick Vadis, Master CGC, into chairmanship at the Annual General Meeting held on March 25.
Vadis, who has been Vice Chairman for the past three years, spent 25 years in the Royal Navy and is currently the Group Executive Chef for the British Airways Eurest/Compass Group. From 2001 to 2004 he was captain of the Guild's Culinary Team, and judges at culinary competitions here and abroad.
Retiring Chairman Steve Munkley will step down to join the Vice Presidents of the Guild. Munkley commented on the strong support that Vadis has given him over the past three years.
"The chairmanship needs dedication, innovation and foresight, all of which Nick has," he said.
