Further in-roads for Rhodes
WHO? - Star chef Gary Rhodes follows up his Rhodes W1 Brasserie at the Cumberland hotel in London, with the elegant Rhodes W1 Restaurant.
Brian Hughson, previously of 30 St Mary Axe and The Savoy Grill, heads up the kitchen and Sebastian Dupont, previously of Ramsay Holdings in London and Tokyo, is Manager. Head Sommelier Yves Desmarais has been with Rhodes for nine years. In common with Rhodes Twenty Four, Rhodes W1 Restaurant and Brasserie are in partnership with Restaurant Associates, part of Compass Group.

ON THE MENU? - Steamed Turbot, Buttered Baby Leeks, Mackerel Ravioli; Salt-roast Squab, White Asparagus, Lemon and Cumin Pigeon Gravy; Poached Meringues, Champagne Rhubarb and Vanilla Custard; Cherry Trifle and Ice Jersey Cream.
STYLE? - First restaurant project by globally renowned designer Kelly Hoppen. Hoppen's gone for a glamorous look, with Swarovski chandeliers, antique French chairs and mirrors and rich velvets.
