Terry Durack of The Independent on Sunday Review picked up the Restaurant Critic's award at the Glenfiddich Food & Drink Awards 2007 at a ceremony held at Sketch in London's Mayfair. Judges, which included restaurateur Bruce Poole of Chez Bruce in Wandsworth, London, and Restaurant's Editor Joe Warwick, described Durack's reviews as "honest, enlightening and witty".

Durack also took top prize in 2005. Other winners included Heston Blumenthal, who received the TV prize for his BBC2 series In Search of Perfection and the GQ/ Glenfiddich Personality of the Year award. Giorgio Locatelli won the Food Book category for Made in Italy: Food & Stories and freelance writer Clarissa Hyman came away with the Food Writer award.

The Drink Book category was collected by Philip Williamson and David Moore for Wine Behind the Label. Alastair Gilmour picked up the Regional Writer's award for work in The Journal, in Newcastle. Winners received a £1,000 cheque.
