Three new restaurants and bars are to open in O2, formerly The Millennium Dome in Greenwich.
All of the new ventures will be owned by newly formed The Glorious Group created by Roast co-owners Iqbal Wahhab and Akbar Asif, with the bars opening later in June and the restaurants in September.
The first floor will house an American restaurant called America serving barbecue pit cooked dishes using USDA prime steak, Maine lobster and Louisiana shrimp. Wahhab is currently in New York looking for a suitable chef. Britain will open on the second floor as a "Homage to classical East-End cooking"
according to a spokesperson, with seafood from Billingsgate Market and the likes of Beef Stew and Dumplings and Fish and Chips followed by pies and steamed puddings. Ivan Mather, previously of Avenue in St James's will be Head Chef.
Raan Indian restaurant will open in a building opposite, with the kitchen team being recruited from India. The ground floor will be a tropical bar complete with a waterfall at its centre, while the upstairs restaurant will serve kebabs and grills.
