Centre Parcs wins Warren Wood row
Permission granted for £200m development
CENTRE Parcs UK has won its planning appeal to build a £200 million holiday village at Warren Wood
Councillors initially rejected plans for what will be the company’s fifth UK site back in July because they feared the development would break green belt restrictions.
However, Center Parcs has now won approval for the scheme on the Duke of Bedford`s estate near Woburn, Bedfordhire, which will include 700 forest villas, a 75-room hotel and spa, indoor sports centre, pool, restaurants, shops and outdoor leisure facilities.
Work on the site is expected to start in 2009, with completion at the end of 2010.
