Restaurants Bid to Help Cyclone Victims
Blue India Restaurants aim to raise £100,000 for victims of Cyclone Sidr in Bangladesh.

BLUE India Restaurants in Crawley and Haywards Heath are supporting the Cyclone Relief Fund to help the tens of thousands of people in Bangladesh affected by Cyclone Sidr.

The storm on 17 November last year uprooted trees and flattened houses, forcing at least 650,000 people to flee their homes.

Blue India have organised two fundraising evenings to help out the victims of the cyclone, with the first one on Wednesday, January 30 at 47 The High Street, Crawley and the second on Thursday, January 31 at 18 The Broadway, Haywards Heath.

Fifty per cent of gross trading made on these evenings will be donated to the Cyclone Relief Fund.

Shaf Rahman of Blue India Restaurants said: “A group of us decided we wanted to do something to help those affected by this tragedy.

"Most of us have parents in Bangladesh so this is very much an issue close to our hearts. Blue India in conjunction with its partner restaurants are leading a campaign to raise £100k.”
