THE Grill at the Dakota Forth Bridge hotel scooped the Restaurant of the Year award at the inaugural Scottish Restaurant Awards.
It was a night of double celebrations for the acclaimed restaurant on Monday (January 28) as it also triumphed in the Best Scottish Hotel Restaurant category.
Using the best locally sourced and sustainable produce, chef partner Roy Brett – formerly executive chef at celebrated seafood restaurant Rick Stein’s - has established The Grill as one of the finest eating destinations in Scotland in little under a year at the helm.
Joanna Blythman, Britain’s leading investigative food journalist and an influential commentator on British food, named The Grill as one of the top restaurants in Scotland.
Roy Brett says: "To be named both overall Scottish Restaurant of the Year and Hotel Restaurant of the Year is a great achievement.
"We absolutely couldn’t have done it without our producers and suppliers who work with us to make sure everything we serve is sustainable, fresh and sourced locally.
