ANGELA Hartnett is to head up a new restaurant at a luxury London boutique hotel, set to open in April.
The York and Albany pub is currently being refurbished to become a restaurant, although it will retain the name.
Making use of Harnett`s Italian heritage, there will also be an Italian deli on site as well as bedrooms.
Hartnett used to head-up Menu at the Connaught until it closed for refurbishment and, amid rumours of disagreements over room service, both parties decided not to renew the contract.
She will now open Murano, a fine-dining Italian restaurant in the old Zen site in London`s Mayfair.
Elsewhere in Ramsay`s empire, the long-awaited Warington pub in Maida Vale is due to open in early February with space for 50 covers and 80 standing plus a first floor restaurant and private dining room.
Mark Sargeant of Gordon Ramsay at Claridges will oversee the menus.
Ramsay also called for more investment into catering schools hinting that he`s looking to open one of his own.
