Beatles Hotel Opens in Liverpool
The four-star Hard Days Night hotel opens its doors, just a stones throw from the legendary Cavern Club where the Fab Four made their name.

A LUXURY Beatles-themed hotel has opened in Liverpool, just yards from the legendary Cavern Club where the iconic band used to strut their stuff in the early years.

The four-star Hard Day`s Night hotel, on North John Street, has 110 rooms, two luxury penthouses and contains a glittering array of Beatles memorabilia, such as previously unseen photographs and original artwork from famous Beatles` artist Shannon.

As an added extra for Beatles-obsessed guests, they can even get married in the hotel`s wedding chapel surrounded by pictures of the Beatles and their partners.

Hotel manager Mike Dewey said: "This is the day we`ve been waiting for.

"It has been a long time coming. We first talked about it 11 years ago and now we open our doors to customers for the first time.

Every aspect of the hotel has been carefully designed to reflect the personalities and public images of the band, such as the the white minimalist Lennon suite, which even comes complete with a white baby grand piano to replicate the feel of the video to his song Imagine.

The hotel`s restaurant Blakes is named after designer of Sergeant Pepper`s album cover Peter Blake, and the walls are adorned with pictures of everyone featured in the famous picture..

Mr Dewey said interest in the hotel has been phenomenal, with word spreading across the globe.†

"We have had calls from Brazil, Scandinavia and Russia," he said.

"It has been extraordinary. The bookings are already good. It hasn`t taken a lot of selling - The Beatles have been the biggest single export this country`s ever had."
