Millions of reviews culminate in Travellers Choice Awards

MILLIONS of travellers who use Trip Advisor have selected the best hotels in the world, in the annual Travellers Choice Awards.

Trip Advisor is the largest travel community in the world, and bases the awards on millions of reviews. More than 30 million people use the sites and the respected awards, now in their sixth year, commend more than 300 hotels.

The UK did well in the Best Inns and Bed and Breakfast category, taking third, fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth best places in Europe, but only managed to peak at ninth in the world’s top 10 luxury hotels.

The Chesterfield in Mayfair was named as the best UK hotel, while the Nanford Guest Hotel in Oxford was shamed with the title of the UK’s dirtiest hotel. Britannia had four sites in the filth file, and Europa Gatwick was listed for the third year running. Get some new cleaners!
