MARK Yates’ latest restaurant-for-rollout is about to open, with plans for 10 more in its mould to open over the next year.
The Gourmet Hotdog Company (GHC) is a fast casual concept.
The first - a 3000sq ft site on Berwick Street in Soho - is opening at a cost of £100,000, according to the M&C Report.
Yates, who is also behind The Real Greek and Livebait, has partnered with Chez Gerard’s ex-chief executive David Williams, and the duo are reported to be in talks with operators in the Middle East about franchising options.
The second opening is planned for March, also in central London, followed by a third site opening in Spitalfields Market the following month.
The plan is to roll the concept out in one of three guises – as a shop with seating, a kiosk, or a pod.
