Whitbread Launches New Pub-Restaurant Brand

Company plans to transform around 75 of its 400-plus pubs to new concept called Table Table following an extensive refurbishment programme. The concept is currently being trialled at six pubs.

WHITBREAD is on the lookout to recruit managers for a new pub-restaurant brand called Table Table.

The group, which also runs the Beefeater and Brewers Fayre chains, plans to transform about 75 of its 400-plus pubs to the new concept following an extensive refurbishment programme.

Six sites across the UK are currently trialling the concept, which is described as a "stylish, accessible, sociable restaurant" brand targeting families, groups and couples.

Like Beefeater and Brewers Fayre, Table Table outlets will trade alongside Whitbread`s Premier Inn sites, with hotel guests a key target market for the brand.

As well as transferring some refurbished Brewer`s Fayre sites to the new brand, there are plans to include Table Table in some new-build Premier Inn locations.

The Table Table menu includes upmarket pub food including sausage and mash, fish and chips and steak.

As well as draught and bottled beers there is a list of more than 25 wines chosen to match dishes on the menu.
