WHISKY Magazine last night named London’s Boisdale of Belgravia “Restaurant of the Year”.
The award is part of the ‘Icons of Whisky Awards’, which look at establishments all over the world – the runners up included restaurants in France, India and Canada.
The Boisdale, owned by Ranald Macdonald, opened in 1988, and offers a range of its own bottlings as well as an extensive collection of quality whiskeys.
Macdonald said: “At Boisdale, we have always prided ourselves on our extensive selection of whiskies and the way we serve them.
"The staff and I are thrilled that the judges have recognised our passion for the cause, and that of our customers in imbibing and enjoying the water of life.”
