Hilton to Roll Out Three New Hotel Concepts in UK
Hotel operator announces plans to bring three new Hilton hotel concepts to the UK and Ireland, tiered beneath the flagship Hilton brand

HILTON is gearing up to roll out three new US hotel concepts in the UK, with directors already sizing up potential sites.

It is believed talks have already taken place over a site at Cheetham Hill in Manchester, next to the Manchester Fort retail park and the new Irish Heritage Centre which is replacing the existing Irish World Heritage Centre on Queens Road.

Leaders of the project, which is a partnership between centre trustees, London-based developers Teesland iDG and Manchester city council, are said to be close to agreeing a deal over the site.

The new hotel would be a scaled-down version of its big city centre establishments.

A Hilton spokesman told Crain`s Manchester Business: "We are rolling out three new concepts from the US. They are Hilton Garden Inns; Hampton by Hilton and Doubletree by Hilton.

"These will be new to the UK and Ireland, and tiered beneath the main Hilton brand.

“We`re looking at a number of sites at the moment, but we are not at a stage where we can make any announcements,” he said.

Michael Ford, chairman of the Irish World Heritage Centre, said that talks were “ongoing” with a hotel operator.
