HOSPITALITY Action raised £12,000 to help the organisation’s beneficiaries at its Fine Dining with a View event held in the heart of London’s financial district at The Gherkin.
The event on Monday, February 25, was a complete sell-out with the 70 places filled by guests from the hospitality sector who enjoyed some of the most striking views of London and a champagne reception upon arrival.
They were then treated to a five course feast, including such delicacies as ballotine of duck with red onion marmalade and baby brioche, sour apple jelly with Calvados cr?me fraiche and warm orange cake, chocolate choux, blood orange sorbet and cr?me Anglaise provided by premium caterers Searcy.
Guests were treated to an evening of games and prizes won in the auction included dinner for two at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons and an exclusive 12 month membership of dining at 30 St Mary Axe.
Penny Moore, CEO of Hospitality Action, said: “It was a great result for us in a truly spectacular venue and a brilliant way to kick off the year.
"Without the success of events like these and the support of those in the industry we wouldn`t be able to offer those who have fallen on hard times the help they need to get back on track."
Hospitality Action acts as a lifeline for any of the two million plus hospitality industry employees who are faced with hard times.
