Bredbury Hall in Stockport has been snapped up by a trio of investors for a fee in the region of £17m. The historic 140-room hotel dates back to 1812.

FIRST House Leisure Group has sold Bredbury Hall in Stockport for around £17million.

A team of three investors - Kenneth Abbott, Andrew Runnacles Chadwick and David Schofield - clubbed together to buy the historic 140-room hotel, which dates back to 1812.

Blackburn-based Pierce Corporate Finance, PKF, CM Tax Consultants and Manchester-based law firm Shammah Nicholls advised on the deal, which was funded by Lloyds TSB.
